I enjoy reading blogs that are relevant to everyday life. Ones that give ideas that are "do-able" and helpful not just informative. I feel that blogs that incorporate pictures and images are more engaging and can help explain difficult concepts.
As a preservice teacher in the Benedum Collaborative Five-Year Teacher Education Program, having a blog will allow for interaction, collaboration, and sharing between myself, my instructors, and my peers. It also provides a place to record my thoughts, my ideas, and the knowledge I learn throughout the course of the program and to receive feedback as well. I envision this blog supporting my experiences through the feedback I receive from others. It will also support my experiences as I will be able to document them, and have the ability to access and reference my posts as needed. I want to write about the knowledge I gain in my classes, the experiences I have in the classroom, and the ideas I receive from my peers and mentors. I want to write about the "factual knowledge" I learn in my classes and how this knowledge will impact/influence/determine the experiences I will encounter in the classroom. I also want to write about my daily experiences in the classroom. I will want to share the exciting things and all the successes, but I also want to share the challenges and difficulties I face and how I overcame them. I also want to use my blog as a place to document all the ideas I receive from others that I plan to implement in my classroom one day so I can have them as a reference place.
